COVID-19

UPDATED MAY 21, 2020

A word to our customers and suppliers regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Since March, American Power Systems, Inc. has been closely monitoring the situation surrounding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the United States and around the world.

We hold the welfare of people first and foremost, and we have worked under the guidance from local, state and federal entities to implement appropriate safeguards for our employees and our partners—both suppliers and customers—during this unprecedented time.

For customers:

APS continues to operate with full capabilities.

Our products and services fall within the Department of Homeland Security’s guidance for essential businesses because we serve both emergency services and the defense industrial base.

Customers can expect their dedicated program manager or sales representative to communicate about any changes to schedules or other impacts if they are expected to occur.

We look forward to seeing many of our customers at conferences and trade shows at this time of year. Because those events have been canceled or postponed, we are inviting our partners to set virtual meetings. Here’s where you can request a virtual get-together.

If you have questions, please contact your program manager or sales representative directly, or use our Contact Us page.

For suppliers:

The products and services you provide to APS continue to be in direct support of essential infrastructure.

You may download and leverage this packet of information regarding critical infrastructure with your local authorities, as your business is part of the defense industrial base.

If you have questions, please call your APS procurement contact directly or get in touch using our Contact Us page.

About our response:

For customers:

APS currently is operating at full capacity.

Our products and services fall within the Department of Homeland Security’s new guidance for businesses that must remain operational because they provide “critical manufacturing,” and whose workers are “necessary for the manufacturing of materials and products needed for medical supply chains, transportation, energy, communications, food and agriculture … emergency services and the defense industrial base.”

We want to communicate to our customers that we are here for you, and that we plan to remain open and operational for the foreseeable future.

In addition, we have yet to experience interruptions to our shipping schedules, and our production and development schedules have not been meaningfully impacted.

However, as this situation continues to change in the coming days, weeks and months, we understand that this is not likely to remain the case.

If and when deviations happen, our customers can expect their dedicated program manager or sales representative to communicate about any changes to schedules or other impacts if they are expected to occur.

If you have questions, please contact your program manager or sales representative directly, or use our Contact Us page.

For our suppliers:

We want to reassure you and your teams, in light of the recent restrictions select states have put in motion in an attempt to mitigate the impacts of COVID-19, that your products and services provided to APS are in direct support of transportation, emergency services and the defense industrial base.

MARCH 17, 2020

A word to our customers regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19):

American Power Systems, Inc. is closely monitoring the developing situation surrounding the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the United States and around the world.

We hold the welfare of people first and foremost and recognize potential business impacts.

At present we are doing business as usual.

This means we are not experiencing interruptions to our shipping schedules, and our production and development schedules have not been meaningfully impacted.

However, as this situation continues to change in the coming weeks and months, we understand that this may not remain the case.

That’s why we wanted to take a moment to ensure our domestic and global partners that as we continue to monitor, we will keep lines of communication open.

Customers can expect their dedicated program manager or sales representative to communicate about any changes to schedules or other impacts if they are expected to occur. (Again, thus far we have experienced no issues.)

In addition, we want to let you know that we have asked our suppliers and service providers to notify us as soon as possible if they encounter any problems that could affect our ability to do business in the usual way.

If you have questions or concerns, please contact your program manager or sales representative directly, or use our Contact Us page.

Thank you for trusting APS for your DC power needs.
