Such is the case with a recently released line of trucks from Matco Tools, an Ohio-based manufacturer and distributor of automotive tools, equipment and toolboxes. The new trucks utilize APS alternators to charge lithium-ion energy storage systems that allow franchisees to power up overnight and run air conditioning, lights and computers during the day.
The company debuted the new line of trucks in February at its National Tool Expo Conference in San Diego.

Matco Tools partnered with Summit Bodyworks to build the vehicles in collaboration with a manufacturer of automotive-grade lithium-ion energy storage systems for small- and medium-sized OEMs. APS was tapped to provide alternators for the new line.
