The Thomas K. Evans Memorial Scholarship, established in 2017, was a merit- and need-based award for new college students pursuing studies in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Created to inspire bright, creative young leaders, the $5,000 scholarship helped local Quad-Cities students advance their education and achieve excellence in disciplines that drive innovation. Named for APS founder Thomas K. Evans, the scholarship honors his legacy of creativity, generosity and commitment to empowering the next generation of STEM innovators.
