Case study: Isolator for remote weapon station

Clients trust APS when the need for power is critical and the stakes are high.

Proving this point is our latest case study outlining recent work with a Toyota LandCruiser 79.

A rugged, popular truck around the world, the Land Cruiser was upfitted with a chain gun for use as a remote weapon station.

The challenge? To isolate the vehicle battery from that associated with the weaponry.

You can see the chain gun in action during tests at the Bushmaster User Conference hosted by Orbital ATK in January 2017 in the video below.

APS partnered with Michigan-based research and development firm Pratt & Miller on the project, which was initiated by Orbital ATK (now Northrop Grumann).
